Run Install Packages - Admin
In the Run Install Packages, predefined installations can be executed, edited, or copied. This allows software installations to be made available across the entire system and managed globally.

Run install
When a installation is selected, it can be executed via Run install or Run uninstall. This allows software to be either installed or uninstalled. The built-in logs help identify and correct errors.

The individual steps are displayed and marked on the right side with a green checkmark (for successful execution) or a red cross (for a failed execution). Clicking on Reset allows the status of the log messages to be cleared and the configuration to be restarted.
Run install group
A package group bundles several individual installation packages. The toolbar offers Run install to execute the whole group as an installation, and Run uninstall to execute it as a deinstallation instead. Each package is listed with its execution position number.
As with a single package, a security prompt always appears before Run uninstall is executed on a group, to confirm that all packages in the group should actually be deinstalled.

Each package within the group can be expanded or collapsed by clicking on it, showing its own steps and status, marked the same way as above with a green checkmark or red cross.

To automatically follow the currently executing step, enable Auto-scroll in the toolbar. Reset clears the log status for the entire group.
Packages within the group are numbered according to their execution order. Click Edit to switch the group into edit mode, where each package can be moved to a new position via drag & drop, and the position number updates accordingly. Individual packages can also be renamed, copied, or deleted from this view.

Assigning packages to multiple groups
A package can belong to more than one group at the same time. This is configured when creating the package. A package linked to more than one group is marked with a badge in the group's edit mode.
The position number applies to each group separately. Reordering a package in one group does not change its position in the other groups.
Moving, copying, and linking packages between groups
In edit mode, a package can also be dragged onto a different group. Depending on the modifier key held while dropping, this has a different result:
- Move (no modifier): the package is removed from the source group and added to the target group.
- Copy (
Ctrl): a new, independent package is created in the target group; it is not linked to any other group. - Link (
Alt): the target group is added to the package's existing groups, so the package now belongs to both.
Duplicating a package via the copy icon works the same way as Ctrl + drag & drop: the resulting copy is only linked to the group it was duplicated in, even if the original package belonged to multiple groups.
Deleting groups and packages
Deleting a group removes it from every package that was linked to it. Packages that are still linked to at least one other group remain available there.
Deleting a package depends on how many groups it belongs to:
- If the package belongs to more than one group, deleting it from a group only removes that group's link, and the package remains available in its other groups.
- If the package belongs to only that one group, deleting it removes the package entirely.
The delete confirmation dialog is the same in both cases; the badge indicates beforehand whether a package is still linked elsewhere. Once a package is linked to only one group again, its badge is removed.
Run uninstall
When a single software application is to be uninstalled, a security prompt always appears to confirm the action, ensuring that the uninstallation is intentional and that the software is then removed from the system. To uninstall multiple packages at once, use Run uninstall on a package group instead. See Run install group above.
